The consultation period for this section of Bus Route 38 ended on 10 April 2006.
Proposals for the section of Bus Route 38 shown on the map, Charing Cross Road, include:
- Allowing access to Charing Cross Road for buses, taxis, service vehicles and cyclists only in both directions
- Widened footways for pedestrians
- Proposed loading bays inset into the widened footways
- Improvements to bus stops to provide more space for passengers and pedestrians
